LIFE TIME 02:59
Pages of pieces of life time Seen through a kaleidoscopic eye Left over bits sticking in my mind Pieces of pages of life time Life time

Ever since I understood, how they used me Ever since I undertook, to be alone But I’m not alone for long, cause I used them too I used them too Ever since I went away, I’ve felt undone I can pretend to live I can pretend to die I can pretend to love I can pretend to feel I can pretend to forget I can pretend to want
4.
OCEAN DREAM 05:08
Wistful, wishful, lazy water Dying fish in shallow pools Making shelters, on the coast line Avoiding bottles and happy sounds Wanting to be free like an ocean dream Playful, watchful, drifting wood And sea weed and golden sand Hopeful, painful, rocky foreshore Wanting to be free like an ocean dream
5.
COLD CALL 03:32
Prancing like a prima donna boy A long shot short fall face Taking a smooth exo skeleton, making waves a dream like picture perfect place Asking directions finding simple courage to be a part Of a mainstream crowd, don’t forget yourself again Walking like a discontented child And will you remember me the meeting was quarter past three The buying and selling game, never was quite the same Standing like a displaced human being A copy book look at ineptitude Leaving like a hopeless refugee Cold call and a miss fit state of mind Body language chest out head up high

REVELATION 03:34
I open my eyes to the morning light, see a big surprise A cold wind and tears of rain about, a purple honesty hue Could this be another life I’m living With not a soul around? A ruined car in a desperate landscape There’s nothing else I can do I cross another desolate paddock To find a house or a clue A lot of evidence that man has been here But nothing new remains Only rusty tins and broken fences The trees now out number stumps The bushland stands in judgement Silently waiting for its victim to come

GATE KEEPER 03:44
Turn out your pockets, show me who you are Prove it to me, prove it to me You cannot pass, we won’t let you This is the boarder of your universe, the boundary of your life Turn back, you cannot pass, we won’t let you A dusty road leads to the horizon, up ahead a paradise to behold We are the gate keepers The keepers of this holy land prisoners of duty, only the chosen few may pass Turn out your pockets show us your papers prove it to me prove it to me You cannot pass, we won’t let you The sky is a vast ocean that makes you scarred to be alone Only rocks and rubble for protection Your not one of us you don’t belong here, This is our land so fuck off!

Walk a long distance away from your home place A journey and a gift Get lost on timing a terrible feeling The shackles and regrets Live on a knife blade, a razor sharp excuse not a mention Don’t want to look a fool Life like an ice age, don’t get caught thawing out Scream and shout, cause that’s not what’s inside Go to a party with stupefied wisdom Your secrets in demand Loser connection, a hopeless encounter they’re probably laughing now Walk along while away from the trouble, look for what’s inside A terrible feeling, close to disaster A mellow dramatic fool

MYTH 01:24
Myth making in the morning sun Last evening time stood still A sensual gift, A whispered word and the last stage of joy occurred Myth making in the night, under artificial light Making sure the timings right

I look up to someone older, a wizard look of ageless wonder Frightening, she’s wearing a diamond ring She asks me if I’ve been to Paris Raves along for about half an hour, can’t escape Looks like I’ll have to tolerate Thick make up, eye lashes, loose language, I’m shaking Fashion conscious, fashion prisoner Beauty expert, bloody awful I take my chance to make a get away One man gone but the next one lined up Warning signs miss read as embarrassment Thick make up, eye lashes, loose language, I’m shaking Fashion conscious, fashion prisoner Beauty expert, bloody awful I can’t stand to be here any longer I don’t wont to be a hero
23.
DANGER ZONE 08:26
24.
Lined up on tables and on chairs Toy guns and toy soldiers in pairs Ready for battle, an innocent charge Dead come alive when your running out Of plastic charges by command To the top, lets take that post Come on men lets charge on through Match stick artillery, medieval manoeuvres Kill that man he’s killing too many of our men! When the battles won, clean up time Put away toy guns and toy soldiers No heroes and no casualties Retired to a dark cupboard

about

Recording began in earnest in December 1998 following in the style of previous material. In January 1999, I changed direction and began writing new songs about key memories and childhood events under the title "Daze of Yore". This was also a false start as I felt too self conscious and a hiatus unfurled with only sporadic recordings of an instrumental nature. Late in 1999, a most unhappy accident occurred, involving a glass of Banrock Station Shiraz, and my beloved Tascam Portistudio 424 four track tape recorder. With the later rendered unrepairable all new work on the album ceased, though I have made several subsequent attempts to piece it all together. It was a very sad event, though it heralded the beginning of the digital direction for my bedroom music.

Now expanded to include most of the tracks I was working on, its variety, or inconsistencies are explained by the rather disjointed nature of recording. The additional material does showcase the diversity of approaches I enjoy, and I hope there is something in here to keep people interested and intrigued.

about

Euie b Graham Canberra, Australia

Ending formal lessons on violin, I began writing songs in 1992, graduating to a four-track cassette recorder shortly after, and the addictive journey of composing then recording was entrenched. I continue, assimilating influences and forging my own way. I shy away from performing, I write, record then move on. I would love others to listen and enjoy, and hold out hope that I May find an audience. ... more
