Having married Catherine in her parents backyard in Charnwood, Canberra in February 2004, we drove straight to Brisbane to live with some of her friends in a share house in Asply, thus beginning our first year of married life. It was a big year, full to the brim with firsts - a first "proper" job with the Cerebral Palsy League; our first rented house, split level with three bedrooms upstairs and a generous studio area for me down stairs also at ground level; our first pregnancy and our first TV series marathon (Farscape). Looking back I wonder where I found the time to write and record songs and paint pictures, but I guess that's just what I do.
The album is a mixed bag with its share of romance, reflection, light and shade.

Ending formal lessons on violin, I began writing songs in 1992, graduating to a four-track cassette recorder shortly after, and the addictive journey of composing then recording was entrenched. I continue, assimilating influences and forging my own way. I shy away from performing, I write, record then move on. I would love others to listen and enjoy, and hold out hope that I May find an audience. ... more
