Fiddle Sticks

from LIGHTBULB PROVERBS by Euie b Graham

about

The conception and performance of this track was hindered and helped by technical failures. Tracks were lost including the primary improvised guitar track. I had to reconstruct the song with the remaining fragments and in doing so brought to life a gem of emotion fragile and glistening with impossible assurity.

lyrics

Lets open our eyes lets see what’s before us
Not versions of the truth, breakings and laughter
In the alphabetic soup the question mark is dancing
Let the leaves make the pathway from the branches to the pavement
An exciting engagement besotted in golden hues
Besotted in golden hues – golden hues (repeat)
Let the blush be the punishment, a crescendo in crimson
Takes the fiddle sticks higher, a ceremonial fire
Give the devil his due, that would be something to do (repeat)
