Mystery Chest

from SKETCHBOOK by Euie b Graham

/

about

This was an attempt at making an indi sounding pop record. The bass line is achieved using a lowered bottom E on an electric guitar.

lyrics

An empty parcel, lies at my feet. An empty window, fronts an empty street
A dusty mantle carries pictures of. Forgotten people, where have they gone?

Sometimes it’s best not to know the truth, best to just settle with lies
Wise to turn a blind eye on things that don’t concern you
Locked away in a mystery chest, where are the keys?

Outside the window, life still goes on. Traffic highway, filled with good byes
Behind the window, sadness is felt. Behind the curtain, sadness is served
Behind the curtains, where have they gone?

Sometimes I wish I new everything. No need to learn about, wise enough to survive

I would love others to listen and enjoy, and hold out hope that I May find an audience. ... more
